ENJOY A MAGICAL MORNING WALK
From the primary classes we have
been writing an essay on morning walk. But till today most of us could not
understand the exact meaning of this term morning walk. There are very few
people those give importance to morning walk and have applied this term to
there own life and have benefited a lot from it.
First of all we should have and
idea of atmosphere and composition of this atmosphere. Normally atmosphere is
composed of about 78 percent of nitrogen and about 21 percent of oxygen. Oxygen
is most important for animals as it is uses in respiration and metabolic
activities of body of an individual. Other gases are about one percent. This
one percent also contains carbon dioxide which is essential for plants. Atmosphere
is composed of various layers. The part of atmosphere from earth’s surface to
ten kilometer above it is called troposphere. Most of individuals and plants
live in this atmospheric zone. Thus we may call it living aerial zone.
Through leaves of plants carbon dioxide
enter into plant the plant. Leaves of plants are the respiratory organs. These
contain little pores which are called stomata. During respiration of plants
carbon dioxide gas (in the presence of sun light) is converted into starch,
carbon dioxide and water. Oxygen is sent out through stomata as waste into the
atmosphere. Starch is used as food which further transported to various parts
of the plant through branches to main plant including roots. This process is
called photosynthesis.
Oxygen exhaled by the plants as
waste material is consumed by the animals including human beings because it is
most important gas for burning of food accumulated in the body of individual
and for generation of calories and energy which is most important for living
beings.
During day time oxygen level is at
high level but due to various polluting factors like factories, vehicles etc,
carbon dioxide level is also high. Dust particles and high day temperature also
contributes to unpleasant feeling during day time. This is the reason why we can’t
feel pleasant during day time despite high oxygen level. But when we sit in the
shadow of a large tree like Peepal, Banyan, Mango, Ashok, Pine etc. tree during
summer, we feel quite comfortable because sun rays do not pinch us there and
also there is abundance of oxygen around the tree which provides very much
comfort to us.
During night situation is opposite.
Most of the plants (except few aromatic plants like Raat Ki Rani, Mogra etc.)
go into a sleep mode because there is no photosynthesis. Due to this there is
excess level of carbon dioxide in the troposphere. During night individuals
continue to inhale carbon dioxide rich air. This is the main reason to laziness
because body of individual resist to high energy consuming activities. Tendency
of body remains to utilize minimum oxygen till morning hour when plants again
start synthesizing oxygen.
Now a big question arises as to why
an individual feels fresh during early morning hours. Its answer is that before
sunrise there is twilight, some light starts coming to atmosphere through refraction
of upper atmosphere. This light contains mostly violet, indigo, blue, green,
yellow lights which are highly energetic lights for photosynthesis. In the
early morning hours when nascent oxygen is evolved from the leaves of plants it
remains in the atomic form for some time and does not instantly combine with
each other to form an oxygen molecule. When air rich in single oxygen atoms
enter into lungs of individuals is instantly combined with hemoglobin present
in the blood but oxygen molecules are not so reactive as compared to nascent
oxygen single atoms. This is the reason why an individual feels fresh instantly
while going out to a morning walk. As soon as sun rays strike the troposphere,
this magic of nature starts to pack up as all the nascent oxygen atoms are instantly
combined to form O2 oxygen molecules.
Other reason is cold and humid
atmosphere of morning hour which provides a comfortable air conditioning
feeling. During morning pollution level in the air is at its minimum level.
Chirping of birds with different tone also exalts our body, mind and soul and
gives a pleasant feeling.
Now, let us discuss at what time of
morning hours a walk has to be performed so that it could benefit an individual
and what are the benefits of a morning walk. Beside this we will also discuss
about the contents of atmosphere in the early morning hours which exalt our
body, mind and soul and give innumerable benefits.
First of all an individual has to abandon
laziness and get up one hour before sun rise. This time may be different during
different seasons. In the summer this time could be 4 am and during winters it
could be 5 pm according to own convenience of and individual. During early
morning hours laziness remains at its maximum and even and individual is in a
awaken situation in the bed, he could not dare to get up from the bed because
he is not ready to abandon comfort. Here strong mental will and determination
works and help a lot. One should set alarm in the mobile or watch of a
particular time as suggested above to make him convenient to get up at his time
of choice. A morning walk for a minimum period of half an hour and maximum
period of one hour is sufficient. Exceeding this limit will start creating irritation
in mind.
Here one best method which has been
practiced by us is elaborated to every body for their benefit. Wash mouth with
cold water. Fill mouth with cold water and scatter constant splashes over face,
especially on the eyes. Don’t rub these. Keep your face and eyes wet for some
time. In the mean time drink two glasses of water or more. After this you may
get your self easy in the bath room. Brush your teeth. Once again put slashes
of cold and fresh water over your face and eyes and then step out of the home
into enchanting morning atmosphere and start enjoying magical morning walk.
After four or five steps you will feel the effect.
As long as you will go during
walking keep breathing with deep and constant pace. By this maximum oxygen rich
air will enter into the lungs and maximum carbon dioxide will be exhaled from
the lung.
During walking speed should be adjusted
according to own convenience but it should be ten to fifteen kilometer per
hour. On first day and individual may perform walk for ten minutes. On next day
this time may be increased constantly. During walk you may perform aerobic
exercises to enhance rate of respiration so that maximum fresh air rich with
oxygen enter into lungs.
Terrain of the road or way an
individual selects for morning walk has also plays an important roll. The
terrain of walking tract should be uneven that is should contain slight
altitudes and slopes also. By this lungs will feel pressure and relaxation
phases.
During walking an individual’s body
temperature increases and every organ and gland of the body is activated
because it gets oxygen rich blood due to which calories accumulated in the body
burn up. Due to this sweat gland and kidneys are positively stimulates and
excretion process of toxins from the body
is initiated. Each part of the body receives fresh oxygen rich blood. Every
toxic substance is washed away from the body in natural way.
During morning walk excess deposits
of fats are burnt in oxygen rich atmosphere. Arteries, veins and blood capillaries,
lymphatic glands become clear giving way to smooth flow of blood in the body
Most of the common ailments can be
permanently eliminated by morning walk. These are high blood pressure, cardiac diseases,
pulmonary diseases, digestive disorders, renal diseases etc. There is a large
list of benefits and due to space constraints; it can not be described here.
But ultimate benefit is that you will gain health without any cost. On the
other hand expenditure incurred on medicine can be saved and utilized for other
fruitful purposes.
While performing a morning walk
Maun Protocol should be observed. Less talk should be made. Your mind should be
in active mode. You mat chant some mantras, you may remember concepts easily.
You will see that by doing little efforts you will be in a position to remember
things quickly and for ever.
With morning walk, if meditation is
performed, it gives ten times more result. Concentration power is increased.
Logic activity of mind is increased. Students can take advantage of morning
walk.
However, precautions should be
taken that a morning walk should never be performed in a polluted atmosphere;
otherwise germs may enter the body. During rainy season precaution should be
taken to go out side to perform a morning walk. In such situation, umbrella
should be kept with.
If a morning walk is performed as
described above each and every body will be benefited.
However, while taking such a lot of
benefit from the nature, it becomes our foremost and primary duty to return to
nature our gratitude. For this we should not pollute atmosphere. We should
plant more and more trees in empty spaces, gardens so that these may provide
medicated air and oxygen to us and our coming generation.
